As a multimedia designer, my goal is to communicate the right message to the right audience while staying on brand. I can see projects from concept to publish in print, digital, environmental, and motion graphics. I see a brand from initial development to guidelines, through collateral to maintenance as the brand matures.

My Work

Here are a few examples of my work. I sorted these into simple categories for good overview of what I do.

About Me

Experience

With a bachelors in design and many years of experience, I have worked with over 100+ brands.

Multi-Media Designer
I have experience working in a variety of mediums. I mainly work in print, digital, and motion graphics. I have worked on everything from brand development, websites, apps, environmental installations, to full campaigns.

Strength in Web
I am a designer with a deep understanding of front-end development. I am unique in that I can toggle between my visual and technical brains to help clients achieve not only the right look and feel but also communicate with developers to achieve the needed functionality for a particular project.

Approach

I strive to find the right solution while focused on goal, audience, and brand.

Focus on Goal with Brand In Mind
Every organization has a product to sell, an idea to disseminate, and/or an image to project to an audience. My goal as a designer is to help facilitate all of these items while staying true to the organization’s overall brand.

Solve the Problem
I design with the idea that I am ultimately a problem solver. For each project I try to find visual solutions that match the brand, the audience, the medium, and the budget. Finding the right solution is what keeps me motivated and passionate about what I do.

The Non-Work Stuff

The Home Life
When I am not working, I am usually spending time with my wife and 2 boys.

The Cultural Make Up
With a parent from the Philippines and a parent from Tennessee, I started off with quite a bit of cultural diversity. Mix that in with growing up in Japan as a Navy brat, living in San Diego, and marrying someone raised in Hawaii – I have a pretty long list of influences as well as list of favorite foods.

The Fun Stuff
When there is time to kill, you can usually find me

  • Trying to Teach Myself Bass
  • Playing Table Tennis
  • Designing and Printing T-shirts
  • Reading a Graphic Novel
  • Having a Beer with a Friend
  • Mastering 8bit Nintendo Games
  • Thinking Up New Games with My Boys
  • Learning Filipino Martial Arts
